"Be yourself. Professionally."
The philosophy that drives everything — on screen, on stage, and in the classroom.High-resolution photos, biography, and press materials available for download.
Patrick's practice as a teacher mirrors his work as a performer: every technique is tested against the reality of professional demands. His teaching empowers students to claim ownership of their unique voice, artistry and skill and propels them towards a life and career in the arts.
His approach is holistic, he nurtures the person, not just the student. As a curriculum architect and academic leader, it's not just about the syllabus or lesson plan, Patrick builds learning communities: spaces where intersecting voices and experiences aren't an afterthought but the actual material the work is made from. The classroom is just the soil where growth begins; real artistic expansion requires performance opportunities, mentorship, apprenticeships and hands-on experiences that come from productions and student-led initiatives.
Every project he works on as a professional actor feeds back into that vision, and every emerging artist he trains pushes it forward in return. He prepares actors to move fluidly across mediums, whether it's cinematic, stage, some interdisciplinary, hybrid devised work… whatever the room demands. Today's actor doesn't get to specialize anymore, especially in the training phase of a creative life. At its center is a simple conviction: that a sustainable culture is one where every human in the room is valued, and where artists are taught to think for themselves, not just perform on command.
The result is a practice grounded in authentic self-knowledge not theory, but craft in service of truth. It's the same principle Patrick built his career on: Be yourself. Professionally.
Assistant Professor · Master Teacher · Resident Artist
1-Day · 3-Day · Week-Long · Semester · Year-Long
Available to colleges, universities, and arts organizations across the country. Patrick specializes in bridging the gap between theatre training and professional on-camera performance — giving classically trained actors the screen fluency to compete in today's industry.
Camera equipment available. Participants receive their footage from class.
Get in TouchIntensive Seminar · Multi-Phase Program · In-Person or Hybrid
State-of-the-art insight and material for industry-ready actors.
What's Included
Seniors get a complete, professionally produced showcase, designed and led by a working actor with nearly thirty years in the industry. Material selection, rehearsal, and final production are all covered: cinematic scenes shot on-location, in-studio, or on campus; multi-camera theatrical work; self-tapes; and theatrical monologues. Productions are crewed by a mix of industry professionals and student participants, because hands-on production is as central to the training as the performance itself. Every phase is built to current industry standard, not legacy curriculum, and students leave with a real edge regardless of what market they're entering.
Delivery is flexible. Programs run as an intensive seminar or a multi-phase engagement, in-person or hybrid, using institutional or independent production resources. Consulting on fundraising, marketing, and promotional strategy is also available, to make sure the right people in the industry actually see the work.
By working on the production side of their own materials, students gain real experience and ownership of the process. They graduate with a portfolio and a working practice that can sustain a career as a freelance artist.
